Warrior Open Tournament, North London, Sat 8 March 2025

On Saturday 8 March 2025, our assistant instructor, Miss Ksenia Mangan, entered the prestigious Warrior Open tournament in North London.  This was a very high level competition, full of international level competitors who were effectively treating it as a preparation tournament for the upcoming European championships.  Miss Mangan's categories were therefore of a really high standard and, although she just missed out on a medal, she performed really well in both patterns and sparring, chalking up a few wins, as well as a couple of narrow defeats, but with such a high standard of competition, it was a brilliant performance!  Mr Emm was also at the tournament, as a referee and umpire.  He really enjoyed the opportunity to officiate at such a high level competition!

International Instructors' Course, South Wales, 14-16 February 2025

On the weekend of 14-16 February 2025, Chester instructors Mr Emm and Mr Dawson joined several T-UK instructors from around the country, as well as more than 300 Masters, instructors and black belts from 20 countries around the world, to train with the amazing Grandmasters of the ITF technical committee.  This event was at the famous and impressive Celtic Manor resort in South Wales.  Grandmasters Marano, Lan and Jedut were inspirational, as always, and not only was very enjoyable and beneficial to take part, it ensures that our technical tuition is fully correct and up to date, so our whole club benefits from us being there.
